MEET OUR SLP Kristiina M. Schetselaar, M.Ed., CCC-SLP is both owner and nationally certified speech-language pathologist of GabGains, LLC and Literacy Liftoff. Kristiina completed her Master of Education in Communicative Disorders at Utah State University. The unique outreach program through Utah State University gave Kristiina the opportunity to begin working in schools during her graduate program. She now has over 17 years of experience working with children in a school setting. Kristiina has also gained valuable skills, knowledge, and experience in the area of teletherapy through both her contract work with a large teletherapy company and independent contract work years before COVID-19 forced others to turn to online services.
Kristiina participates regularly in continuing education to maintain her national certification and state licenses as well as expand and deepen her knowledge in various areas of speech-language pathology. Kristiina loves connecting with her clients on a one-on-one basis through online therapy and making communication gains a reality for them. In addition to her work as a speech-language pathologist Kristiina spends her time reading, running, powerlifting, homeschooling, and adventuring with her family. Kristiina is the wife of a supportive and loving husband and the mother to one beautiful and talented daughter and one bright and energetic son. She understands the struggle parents face when they have a child with special needs; She is busy raising one herself. |
